Synths: Yamaha DX-7

As I like electronic music since ages, I started 3 years ago to compose a bit my own music for entertainment and to see what I could do.
I wanted to introduce you one of my favorite synths, the settings are pretty amazing!
Released in 1983 the Yamaha DX-7 is one of most popular digital synths. It featured a whole new type of synthesis called FM (Frequency Modulation).
It has been used by Kraftwerk, , Supertramp, Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Daryl Hall, Steve Winwood, Scritti Politti, Babyface, Depeche Mode, Les Rhytmes Digital, Front 242, U2, A-Ha, Enya, The Cure, Vangelis, Elton John, James Horner, Toto, Queen, Yes, Michael Boddicker, Julian Lennon, Jean-Michel Jarre, Beastie Boys...
As you can see, it doesn't matter the artist background, they mainly make the music with the same instruments. There is not musicS there is one MUSIC.
You will find on the video a song completly made with the Dx-7, it's called Kavinsky- Testarossa Autodrive". BAM!

DUSTY KID- A raver's diary
DUSTY KID [aka Paolo Alberto Lodde] was born in the first half of the decade of the 80’s. At 10, after just one year of private lessons of the basic notions of piano and violin, he was admitted directly to the 6th year of the piano course in the conservatory of his native city. Following the accademic experience, his tasks moved gradually from the austere classical world to the electronic system, free from binds and traditional old-fashioned diktats. DUSTY KID started to manipulate synthesizers, samplers and sequencers, and he realized that one passion was growing and growing: the ardor for arranging and producing his own compositions.
In 2004 Dusty Kid creates the project Duoteque with DJ Andrea Ferlin and releases numerous EPs on Boxer Recordings and the tracks were immediately included in the DJ sets of some of the most important names, like Richie Hawtin, Tiefschwarz, Ricardo Villalobos, Domenic Eulberg, Sven Vath and Magda.
After the Duoteque experience Paolo decides to take his own way and to release his own productions as DUSTY KID.You will find on the video a track from his last album released on Boxer Rec.
